How to Configure Alyce for Demandbase Recipes

  • Updated

There is one recipe included as part of the Alyce for Demandbase integration which allows you and your team to send a gift to the right person from the right account at the right time. Before using this recipe, ensure that you have successfully Installed the Alyce for Demandbase Integration.

Trigger gifts based on Demandbase engagement score

Based on the criteria that you specify in this recipe, Alyce will automatically approve and add the corresponding recipients to the Alyce 1:Many campaign that you select.

These recipients will be added in both the Alyce 1:Many campaign and as campaign members in the linked Salesforce campaign if you have installed the Alyce for Salesforce integration.

Step 1: Before configuring this recipe, ensure that you have already created the corresponding Alyce 1:Many campaign to which you would like to upload your contacts. For a refresher, you can follow this guide on how to create a 1:Many campaign in Alyce.

Step 2: To start this recipe, ensure that you have successfully connected the Alyce for Demandbase integration per this document.

Step 3: Within the Demandbase stage name entry box, enter the exact name of the Demandbase stage that contains the accounts that you would like to gift.

You may enter a single stage or multiple stages as a comma-separated list and these values are case sensitive. For example: “Decision, Purchase“ would trigger when accounts move into Decision or Purchase.

Step 4: Within the Demandbase engagement minutes entry box, enter the number of engagement minutes that you would like to use as your gifting trigger. Gifts will be triggered when the corresponding account exceeds this level of engagement in the prior 7 days.

Step 5: Within the recipient job title entry box, enter the job title of the recipients that you would like to send a gift to. Recipients will be added to the Alyce 1:Many campaign if their job title in Salesforce contains the value that you input here.

This is case sensitive and you may only enter one job title. This can be broad such as “Marketing” or specific such as “VP Marketing”.

Step 6: Within the Alyce 1:Many campaign entry box, select the corresponding Alyce 1:Many campaign that you created/identified in Step 1 above. This is where the recipients will be approved and uploaded.

Step 7: Within the recipe, click “Start”.

Congratulations, you have successfully configured your Alyce for Demandbase recipe!

Recipients will be added to the Alyce 1:Many campaign and the corresponding Salesforce campaign on a weekly basis as their accounts exceed the level of Demandbase engagement minutes that you specified. The campaign members in Salesforce will be added into the default campaign member status that you have set up for your campaigns.

You can review the list of recipients in both the Salesforce and Alyce 1:Many campaigns.

As a next step, we recommend connecting your Salesforce campaign to your Marketing Automation Platform and/or Sales Engagement software to send your Alyce gifts.
